Over 25 years’ combined experience freelance copywriting, editing and marketing has brought with it a lot of opportunity to listen, observe, engage and discover. Learning something new with every client and project is one reason I love what I do.
My favorite client scenario? Working collaboratively to create a successful end product. I find partnerships creatively inspiring – and a way to truly connect with and “hear” a client.

As a freelance Copywriter & Editor I work with businesses of all sizes, from small business start-ups to established corporations and educational institutions. My Services and Client list will give you a good sense of that.
My Marketing Consultant & Coordinator work with Portland, Oregon nonprofit arts groups has included company branding strategy and development; writing, editing and proofing brochures, ads, press releases and fundraising materials; designing and deploying email newsletters; social media support; website support including content writing and posting; and special event project management.
I’ve provided web site content writing, SEO, and web best practice training services for award-winning integrated online marketing agency Mambo Media. I’ve written and edited video and voiceover scripts for client promotional projects. As a Mambo Project Manager I provided long-term website support for a major client, researching, writing and posting all site content and images including articles, product descriptions, promotional banners, and seasonal and industry trend reports. I developed visual creatives, copy, taglines, and product selection for lead generation emailers and sweepstake campaigns targeted to the client’s database of 150,000.
My graphics and art direction experience makes for a stronger client product, informing the overall process from initial concept to end result. I consult with graphics team members, viewing final design drafts to provide input and ensure copy is properly laid out.
Other past work experience has included stints as Grants & Sponsorship Manager (Seattle Symphony), Development Director (Seattle’s Bathhouse Theatre), Events Coordinator (Pantages Center for the Performing Arts, Tacoma, WA), and Marketing Associate (San Francisco-based film animation company, Colossal Pictures).
